In the jig and ready for routing the slots that will take the hardwood splints to help with strength.

Here's the slots routed right through the headstock and out the front sitting on each side of the trussrod channel.

With the splints in it's time to start shaping them back into the neck....

and think about getting a new headstock laminate on. I cut a blank laminate out of thin black plastic and glued it onto the headstock.
