Burny Les Paul

Here's where things got a bit .... naughty. Now I wouldn't normally do this but since i know Dan is never going to sell this guitar and the old laminate was shattered, it was time to have some fun.

Once it was dry it was time to shape it back into the original shape and drill some tuner holes. Now a blank headstock wouldn't have really worried Dan, but I thought it was time for a change.

Several coats of lacquer are applied to protect and seal the new timber and laminate, and then......

a new laminate is applied to finish off the job and make it look almost new again, if not a little different.

The back of the neck is given a little burst to hide the damage and Dan's off to Europe on tour before the paint dries properly.
