This
very rare early 60's Canora was made in Italy and imported
into Australia by Lamberti Bros. Like a lot of these early
Italian guitars, they were made of plastic or plastic coated
timber and this one had just fallen apart.
The fretboard was being held together by sticky tape and every
fret was loose or falling out. The fretboard was essentially
pieces of plastic "between" each fret.
First thing
I had to do was totally strip the fretboard and start again.
I had to put it back together like a jig saw puzzle and glue
each piece individually back in place leaving the right slot
gap between each one.
