This poor old 70's Gibson Ripper was left outside for years. The scratchplate had disintegrated and the neck had twisted badly.

The pick ups were balls of rust, as was the rest of the metal parts on the bass. It was in bad shape .......

Before going too far I had to get the twist out of the neck. The two heavy strings were still on and had pulled the neck up on the bass side.

The hardware was a mess. The celluloid plate had fallen to pieces and all the pots and switch had rusted in place.
