WOSRITE MK II

Built to the exact dimensions and materials of the original Ventures II model by Mosrite in mid 1965, Tym guitars brings you this completely handmade replica of this VERY rare and until now, never faithfully copied Mosrite.

It is completely handcrafted using my original Ventures II as a benchmark for shape, feel and tone.

This one is a prototype that, like the VERY limited production version has the small headstock and unique pick ups. To complete this replica it has the folded steel vibrato unit that was used only on this model Mosrite.

Spun knobs and plastic tip switch finish the look.

The basswood body and maple neck of this guitar replicates the feel and sound of the original perfectly.

The ultra thin neck with original radius fretboard, zero fret and half round (as apposed to later quarter round) string guide is screwed onto the solid basswood body with neck screws countersunk into the timber with a chrome plate then screwed over these. (note: Neck plate not attached in pics)

The handmade, hand wound pick ups sound exactly like the originals and are replicated here for the first time and made to exact specs from an original 1965 MK II pick up.


The handmade folded steel Vibrato has also been lovingly replicated for the first time since 1965 to complete the guitar and achieve that original tone.

The guitar also has the single ply, black scratchplate as used on these original slab body MK II's.

Only approx 150 original slab body Mosrite MK II's were made between May and July of 1965.

The Tym guitars MK II replica will be available soon in VERY limited quantities and is THE CLOSEST guitar you will get, anywhere in the world to one of these legendary Mosrites.

Mosrite originals of these guitars are now all but impossible to get and when they become available, they are prohibitively expensive.
