TYMENBACKER

It was only a matter of time before I started building some of my other favorite influences and Ric's have always fascinated me. It's also where Semie got his start and some models have obvious construction methods used later in Mosrite.

Built very similar in construction to a genuine Rickenbacker, Tym guitars brings you this completely handmade inspiration.

It is completely handmade and based on several different Ric models such as the 1997 and the double bound 360.

This one pictured is the prototype of a VERY limited number of Ric inspired models I will be offering.

This double bound basswood and laminated semi hollow body and maple set neck guitar brings together the look of a Ric with the feel of a Mosrite.

The ultra thin neck with Ric radius fretboard, and unique, original fretboard markers in the wide triangular shape used by Ric is set deep into the solid basswood centre block.

The pick ups are Alnico 5 DeArmond copies and have a similar "ring" to the Ric pick ups with less feedback. The Vibrato is standard Bigsby with Ric style bridge and this combination, with the construction of body and neck give a VERY jangly sound with more sustain and less feedback.

The Tym guitars Tymenbacker lies somewhere between a Mosrite, a Ric and Gretsch for feel and tone. The look is mostly Rickenbacker of course, with a Mosrite neck profile and DeArmond pick ups and Bigsby vibrato all add up to a very usable, vintage looking guitar.

This model will be available soon in VERY limited quantities.
