Tym guitars speaker cabs are, like
nearly everything else here, completely handmade to exact specs
using only the best quality materials we can buy.
These 2 X 12 cabs are copied directly from my own 1963 Fender
Bandmaster cabinet. The dimensions, volume and size are identical
to this much revered speaker enclosure.

All our cabs are made from void free solid 19mm ply and completely
cut, glued and screwed by hand for the most accurate and tight
fit.
These boxes won't rattle or squeak. The front baffle is reinforced
with a single middle beam as apposed to the full middle baffle
of the original Fender unit as I think they sound better with
the inside of the box "open" as apposed to two separate
smaller boxes inside. |

Our 1 X 12 and 2 X 12 cabs are available in closed or open back
(shown here) with 2 switchcraft input jacks for use to "piggy
back" a second cab from the first if your amp only has
one speaker output.
As shown below we do custom cabs with your choice of tolex, grill cloth and hardware type and placement. Just contact us for a quote and details about ordering. |

Here's a custom 2 X 12 cab we made to match a Marshall head. This is the same dimensions as the standard Tym cab but uses Marshall tolex, grill cloth and hardware like handles and amp skids.
This cab can be optioned with the white piping around the grill cloth to make it look more Marshall.
These Bandmaster boxes have a great frequency response and are physically wider than the standard Marshall cab so the ends of the head don't hang off the edges.
This cab is a closed back 16 ohm with one Celestian Greenback and one Celestian Vintage 30. |

4 X 10 guitar and bass cabs are now available with MojoTone Vintage 10's for guitar giving 120W or Eminence Beta for bass at 1000W. The bass cabs are ported for rounder bottom end.
The 4 X 10 cab is braced horizontally and vertically for added strength while leaving all 4 speakers open to breath together.

1 X 12 cabs are now available. We have had many requests for this cab, so here it is.
Hand made the same as all our other cabs here in Brisbane with all the same options as the other cabs. Closed or open back with your choice of speaker or unloaded.
This is the cab that will be used for the Super Tone 40 combo. |

Here's the home recorders dream. We call it the "Cube of Silence" A couple of guitarists here in Brisbane have these already and they LOVE them.
This little box allows you to plug your amp in, stick a mic in front of the speaker and turn it up as loud as you want with little to no spill in your studio/bedroom or practice room. You can use it to record or practice with headphones and still get a nice "loud" tone. |

The "cube" comes with 1/4" speaker input and XLR mic output jacks.

It is made of 19mm ply like our speaker cabs and heavily insulated with high density foam. Once sealed it is airtight and virtually sound proof. The cab is covered in high wear carpet with metal fittings and rubber feat.
If you record a lot at home and like the tone of your amp on full this is for you. If you like a turned up amp tone in the practice room or on stage but are too loud for the rest of the band, run this into the PA. |

Due to demand from bass players we are making a 6 X 10 bass cab. It seems bass players like the sound and size of this cab giving "fridge" style tone without the back aches.
After solid testing we have settled on a design using 6 X Eminence 250W speakers giving 1500W at 4 ohm so you can put almost anything on top to drive it.
These are a closed back, "open braced" style cab with ports leaving all the speakers breathing together. We found the bass players who tested the cabs preferred this style. |

The cabs are hand made here in Brisbane using the same ply and tolex as our guitar cabs and have wheels and a steel handle "a la" Ampeg for easy handling with metal side handles for easy lifting.
We have used black grill cloth on these to make up for the extra height needed for the size of the cab but other cloths are available.

All cabs are available in loaded or unloaded
spec if you wish to fit your own speakers. We also offer MojoTone, Jensen, Eminence and Lorantz speakers at very
good prices.
Stainless steel screws are used throughout and nickel plated
metal corners and feet are used for maximum protection and vintage
look and feel. |
We use only the best quality tolex and grill cloth and these
are optional at an extra price.
All the cabs are badged and serial
numbered by hand to give you that little bit more vintage "mojo"
Handle specs and placement are optional. |

made, quality professional product that you will still be using
in 30 or 40 years, just like the old quality cabs.
